Back on Earth, Blake discovers that much has changed during his absence. Seeking a new purpose, he consults Dr. Jacob Wallaby, who suggests working at a free clinic. However, his plans are interrupted when a mysterious new villain, Damocles (Eric Barlow), attacks and steals a quantity of synthetic cobalt that had been loaned to the hospital. This issue marks the first appearance of Damocles.
