Shaw traps Kate in power-dampening armor and forces her into the ocean to drown. Because Kate is the only mutant who can’t use the Krakoan gates, Shaw gambles that she also cannot be resurrected by The Five. The issue ends with Kate and Lockheed appearing to die.
