After the events of the first "Hulk" comic, Bruce Banner is struggling to control the beast within him. Despite his efforts to live a quiet, isolated life, the Hulk continues to emerge whenever Banner is faced with stress or danger. His relationship with his loved ones, including Betty Ross, has become strained, and his isolation only deepens his inner turmoil.
