DOCTOR WHO 1

The first issue of Doctor Who Weekly (later renamed Doctor Who Magazine) launched Marvel UK's long-running Doctor Who comic line. The main comic story is "The Iron Legion", featuring the Fourth Doctor and K-9. They arrive in an alternate universe where the Roman Empire never fell and has expanded into a vast interstellar empire ruled by a powerful and tyrannical Iron Legion. The Doctor becomes involved in a rebellion against the empire and uncovers a threat that could affect entire worlds. The story was written by Pat Mills and John Wagner, with artwork by Dave Gibbons.
